Vote tomorrow. I don't care if we agree on candidates, just vote. Think, we couldn't all be patricians in Rome and as peons we would have no voice.

Hi everyone!

Just got back home from my trip. I'm exhausted working 14 hour NIGHTS!!!

Kudos to everyone on the Rome forum! 45th is pretty darned good for having only discovered the site a little over a year ago! Imagine what we could have done had we know about it when the series was on! :)

I'm really looking forward to PatPat's story she's promised. Patience isn't my strongest virtue, but I try! LOL PatPat's stories are always worth waiting for! :)

That's what I like about you Pats, always ready to party. *bumps knuckles with my fellow party girl* :). But I think Alexios is right. There's not much enthusiasm on the forum right now.

Wonderful Pats! *sends Pats a case of fine Tuscan red in tribute*

Congratulations to Rome for being number 45! I think that's awfully darn good for a program that had only two seasons, and short ones at that!, and was broadcast on a premiun pay channel.

I'm not ashamed of that result!

Thanks Lady C for your daily reports.

Yes, 51,441 is a fine final number. Well done, everyone, in particular for LadyC leading us along the way (JPDellova also deserves a mention!) and to Pat for her morale-improving stories.

13 August 2008-The last day

Today's numbers (I won't mention the Professionals!) are:
Rome 142 votes

And the final vote total was: 10,000,982. I think the fact that the voting ending on the 13th (Thirteen!!) is a good sign.

VIII-XIII-MMVIII
Rome (2005) 51,441

> VIII-XII-MMVIII
> The Professionals (1977) 62545
> Rome (2005) 51299

We finished at 51,441. That's not too shabby considering our start.
Congratulations everybody.

And thanks to Lady C, keeper of the flame.

Atia, I am around if we have a festival coming up.
I feel some story coming along soon, too.

Might have to consider that in some form - at least til November?

Maybe we could relate present politics to Rome?

Hmmm, maybe Romies need some assigned writing - How I Spent my Summer Away from Rome ;). Some of the very clever Romies out there must have some thread ideas. Anyone? Bueller? Bueller?

There is something coming up on the calendar that I think is worthy of a celebration in the Villa. Maybe one last big clothing optional blowout before the forum gasps its last weezy breath. I'm just wondering if there are enough Romies left on the board that would want to have some fun.

Indeed, sweets. Deadwood has been off the air longer than Rome and their community is hanging around better than ours. There has to be some way to keep the interest here (besides talking politics, of course).

I think we should create some new threads. We're down to only 1 page :(.
